YTD LY

I have been browsing the community threads and I just can't seem to find the proper formula that would show PY sales but onlyonly calculating it thru the current date.  Meaning if I am looking for YTD PY now, I would like it to display the prior year results from Jan-16 thru May-16.  I have tried sameperiodlastyear, but it give the full year versus giving the results thru May-16.

    Can you share your pbix file, much easier to assist if I can see the the tables, data and relations.

    Thx for the follow-up.  I actually cobbled together the solution from Power BI Community threads just before your reply.
