I'm pretty new to PowerBI and experiencing an issue naming the the Y-Axis Constant Line and Average Line in a line chart.
For the constant line, the line is auto-named to "Y-Axis Constant Line 1." Even after I rename it and apply, it doesn't change in the chart and when you click out of the settings/analysis area for the constant line and go back to the area to look at what you named it, it's changed back to "Y-Axis Constant Line 1."
Additionally, you can see my Average line is in blue and it won't let me name it anything. It won't even let me toggle the On Off on the Line. When I click Line On, it just flashes On and goes right back Off.
Hi,
Experienced the same issue, not sure what caused it.
Fixed it by deleting the chart and creating a new one. Hope that helps.
Hi @ryanta
Which version of Power BI Desktop are you using? You could find that through File > About.

Hi @ryanta
I suspected a bug or UI issue because:
1- You renamed the Y-Axis Constant Line, but it didn’t update and reverted back.
2- The Average Line toggle doesn’t stay ON, which is unusual behavior.
3- These features should work normally, but they are not responding as expected.
If it's not a bug, it could be:
- A Power BI version issue – Updating might fix it.
- A file corruption issue – Try creating a new chart.
- Permissions or settings restrictions – Check if it happens in a new report.
