XML with different extension

the XML files in my source folders have different extension (dBXML). How do I convince BI desktop to parse them into tables like any other XML.

I tried renaming the files (as a test) and it works, so the files are OK, but obviously, I want to point to live data,

    hgorina Can you try using XML connector and in the dialog box opens to select file just select All types and load ?

      I have misdiagnosed the problem- it is not a file extension problem but combining data from multiple XML files with identical schema into the dataset
