XML error invalid character 0x03 sharepoint list

Hello,

My power Bi Dashboard worked perfectly fine for almost a year with scheduled refresh from a sharepoint list. Suddenly there is an error : hexadecimal value 0x03 invalid character. Line 148 position 248. How do i find this position in a list so i could modify or remove the item?

Thank you in advance

If you open up the file in the desktop app and refresh there, you'll have the option to view errors when it fails. That'll open it in Power Query, where you should be able to click around in the errors query to see what value it doesn't like and which column its coming from.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately it does not allow to view the error. Typically there would be an option in case of invalid data, but not in this case 😞 it just cancels the refresh and there is no option to see the refreshed data in power query

Hi,@Patryk123321
Can you tell me if your problem is solved? If yes, please accept it as solution.

Best Regards,

Leroy Lu

In desktop it doesn't show the errors? If you go to Power Query and refresh-all there it should narrow it down too - sometimes they'll be highlighted as a red underline under the column, other times it'll just not load the query for that step at all. You can click back through the steps to see which one it is that has the problem, but it'l take more digging.
