Wrap text inside Slicer

Hello,

I'm creating Dashboard for few projects and would love to have slicer as option to go though each project.
One of the slicer is Summary of Project has more than 2 lines. However, I am not able to see full summary on dashboard due to Slicer. Example attached

Is there anyway we can fix this issue or any alternative to help please?

Appreciate your help

Thank you

Hi,

Unfortunatley the slicer does not support word wrap on slicer items, some options:

1. You could increase the lenght of the slicer

2. Create a measure to summarize the information in the field and use that in the slicer

3. Potentially use a custom slicer visual to achieve this

As of today, it appears that it does support it, but the toggle does nothing that I can see. The horizontal alignment affects the text inside the slicer buttons, the font settings affect them, but this text wrap button does not.

Yet another thing with Power BI that Microsoft won't address.

Hi,

Wrap text inside slicer is working fine for both Old and New slicers. It is now working because we are trying to fit two or more lines in same width as one line.

To solve this, you need to increate the width of the slicer and it will wrap text inside it. (If you don't want to increase the length)

For new slicer, you can customize the padding and keep it minimal or 0.

One workaround I found for this is turn off the "Slicer Header" and then turn on the "Title".  Text wrap is available under "Title" and it does work.

@DOLEARY85 Thank you! Hope Microsoft will bring wrap text inside the slicer! Will surely save much more time!
