Workspace won't open in Desktop

Hello all.

 

I'm a new admin to a workspace that links salesforce and Power Bi. I basically took over the salesforce credentials that link us to Power Bi and have admin rights to the workspace. That being said, no matter what I do, I cannot open up the data model in Power Bi Desktop. The only thing I see in desktop is the report, which always redirects me to service.

 

Does anyone know what I can do here?

    Hi SeherMohsin 

     

    I think the data model you mentioned is a semantic model. At present, the data model has been renamed semantic model.

     

    When you publish a report to a service via power bi desktop, you can see both the report and the generated semantic model in the workspace of the power bi service.

     

    You cannot open a semantic model in power bi desktop.
