Wordcloud synonyms
Hi all,
I am using the custom visual 'WordCloud 2.3.4.0' by Microsoft, which works very nicely! One thing I am missing here is the option to note synonyms. For example, I am plotting statements in the wordcloud, containing words like 'Products' (3x), 'Product' (4x), 'Produkten' (1x) and 'Produkt (2x)'. In my wordcloud, I only want to see the word 'Products' (10x). Is this a possibility in the current version somehow?

Hi MariskaP - WordCloud 2.3.4.0 visual in Power BI does not natively support synonyms or word grouping.
If you prefer to keep the transformation in Power BI rather than Power Query, create a calculated column

SWITCH(
TRUE(),
'Table'[TextColumn] = "Product", "Products",
'Table'[TextColumn] = "Produkten", "Products",
'Table'[TextColumn] = "Produkt", "Products",
'Table'[TextColumn] = "Products", "Products",
'Table'[TextColumn] // Default case (unchanged)
)Hope this helps, while WordCloud 2.3.4.0 lacks built-in synonym handling, preprocessing the text using DAX gives you full control over text normalization.
