Widen the slicer drop down menu

Hello,   I'm wondering if there's a way to widen the drop down menu of a slicer to the right. The categories in my slicer are pretty long words, and I would prefer not to make my slicer wider than ...

Here is a workaround that I use:

  1. extend the slicer to an appropriate width that will fit the long text.
  2. cover the extra width with another visual from your reort. 
  3. make sure to turn off the slicer visual border.
  4. add a custom border using Insert --> Shapes. 
  5. Send the Custom Border backward so it won't affect the slicer selection interaction.
