Why slicer is not selected when a chart item is selected?

Here is a simple page with a slicer on left and barchart on right. When I selected a bar on the barchart, I was expecting to see the slicer will be selected. However, it didn't work as expected. Any suggestions?

The slicer options will be impacted by your filter (if the data model dictates it).  However, this will not result in any selections on the slicer.  Remember that "nothing selected" is the equivalent of "everything selected" for a slicer.
