Why is the add on visual Gantt Chart by MAQ Software displaying as blurry in the published version? I have tried resizing and rebuilding this visual

This kind of blurriness with custom visuals like the MAQ Software Gantt Chart in the published (service) version is a known issue, and it’s usually related to how the Power BI Service renders visuals—especially when browser scaling, screen resolution, or display settings (like zoom level) come into play. Sometimes, Power BI optimizes visuals for performance or responsiveness, which can unfortunately reduce clarity for some add-on visuals.

A few things you can try:

• Make sure your browser zoom is set to 100% when viewing the report in Power BI Service.
• Try different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) to see if rendering quality changes.
• Check your display settings—high-DPI screens and browser scaling can sometimes cause custom visuals to appear blurry.
• When publishing, ensure the visual is sized appropriately in the Power BI Desktop before publishing; sometimes stretching or shrinking in the service can worsen blurriness.
• If you’re still seeing this, it could be a limitation or bug with the MAQ Gantt visual’s rendering in the service. You can also reach out to MAQ Software support, as they may have guidance or updates for this scenario.

Try the below troubleshoot points to resolve the issue.

Set your browser zoom to 100%. This helps avoid blurry visuals. Use “Fit to Page” in Power BI Service, This improves how the visual appears.

Avoid overlapping or transparent visuals, They can mess with how the Gantt chart shows up. Update the Gantt chart visual, Make sure you’re using the latest version from AppSource.

Update Power BI Desktop, Install the latest version to avoid compatibility issues. Delete and re-add the visual, Sometimes this fixes rendering problems.
