Hi,
I'm trying to import a data set from Excel. This has worked for me before. However, with this dataset it is loading 25 additional empty columns (actual data has 29 columns, 54 columns are loaded). Any idea why this might be happening and how to avoid it going forward?
The way I've been able to avoid it so far is by loading the query behind the dataset directly. But would like to be able to justs load the dataset if possible.
Thanks in advance!
Kyle

How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly
For example:
What version of power bi desktop are you used? What target table you choose to get data? The worksheet or recognized table from worksheet contents? If that is the case, I'd like to suggest get data from table instead.

Xiaoxin Sheng
I'm not sure why it is happening, but you can select the columns you want, then right click and click Remove Other Columns that way you are only loading the columns you need.
