When i uploaded my dataset, there is no blanks in any row or column. But for some reason when uploading data to a slicer there shows a blank. Is there a fix for this without using a filter?
I've figured that the blank may be showing as the cell it relates to includes 40 characters?

I tried this and the formula and it worked in the dataset and cut the text to 30 characters. However when I uploaded the changes into the report it still left a blank in the slicer. Not sure what is causing this to happen, i assumed it was because of the number of characters but something else seems to cause this issue.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you select the data for the slicer from the same table or in another with which the relation is created?
If the second option, then it is possible that you are losing some value while joining.
Could you please show an example or model diagram?

If I helped, please accept the solution and give kudos! 😀
It is from the same table?
Hi @Anonymous ,
So the table from which the slicer is created is not related to anyother table in Power BI?
Can you share your data model with relationships, if there are any?
Thanks,
Pragati
