Why does Map visual only have Filter, not Highlight interaction?
Hello all
In a particular report I'd like the user to be able to view the location on a map of a particular series displayed in a Line chart.
However, the Map visual only has a Filter interaction, not a Highlight. Does anybody know why Highlight is not available for the Map visual?
The reason I prefer Highlight over Filter here, is that Filter (when Autozoom in Map controls is On) will zoom in too far into the map to be informative. I could switch off Autozoom but then I lose the benefit of a region-based Slicer that is included in the report.

It should probably by design. not all the visualizations have full interactions icons. But if you'd like to enable this feature, you can raise it as an idea in the portal:

It has been requested already but if updates are prioritised based on votes (3 votes so far) I doubt we will ever see it happen 🙄

Hi parry2k, this particular report will be 'Publish to web' so (unless ESRI has recently changed this) the ArcGIS maps are not an option. I'm aware of the Ideas route but am somewhat skeptical it will float to the top given the Map visual has existed for years.
Just checked, this was requested earlier this year and has gathered a whopping total of 3 votes (including mine) now:
