Until last week, I was able to add new columns and perform the aggregate functions on them in Matrix Visualization. Now I can't even add those in Power BI. What can be the issue here?
Hi @Anonymous ,
Measures cannot be put in the matrix.
For now, clear the datasource and reconnect it, and then try to add columns. Power BI Desktop is also guaranteed to be the latest version.
On your Power bi Desktop Go to File -> Options and Settings -> Data Source Settings.
It will take you to the data source page there you can delete the data base source.
Click on edit permission which will open another pop up that allows you to delete the source as shown

well that's not true. We can put measures in the Matrix and I have been doing this for a while.
My question was that I was not able to put Columns in Matrix Values, which I was able to do a few weeks ago.
Hi @Anonymous ,
My mistake. What I want to express is that measure cannot be placed in the columns of the matrix.
Have you tried putting the columns into the matrix in other reports(.pbix)? The question is whether it is concentrated in one report or all reports are the same.
It is best if you can provide a screenshot of the issue, which will speed up the speed of solving the problem.

My question is in Matrix we have Values. In Values until last week, I was able to drag and drop columns as Values and then change the aggregation function on that column.
Now I can not do that anymore, after updating the Power BI
Did you find any resolution to this? I recently found the same issue. Even, I tried one of our old Power Bi reports that works fine before removing the column from matrix values, once I removed the column I was not able to add it again.
Have you found a resolution? I just started experiencing this yesterday.
Were you able to resolve this problem? I seem to ba having the same issue. Thank you!
Hi @Anonymous ,
Based on my test, it works well. You can try to contact to power bi team for help.
