Why are my selected graphs blank

Hi all 

I am a true newbie in the tool, but I have seen a lot of tutorials online already. 

Real issue is that when I have followed all the steps and been through the "get data from excel" and even through the transitioning of the data then I find that whatever simple graph I pic, the square cell for it remains blank no matter what. I fill in all sorts of data attempts or different graphs. Is there a setting that a first time user should be aware of perhaps.

Hi HeidiKiss,

First thing I'm thinking is that you perhaps don't have the required value wells filled for that particular visual for it to be able to render. For example, below you'll see that the treemap visual will only start rendering once the "Value" well is filled with a column/measure.

If that is not the issue, could you perhaps share some more information or a screenshot of where the issue is occurring?
