Why are my Dynamic Values in Text Box hidden when pbix file is shared?

My pbix file includes multiple text boxes with "dynamic values." These values work on my desktop, but as soon as I share the file to my colleague via email, none of the dynamic values work. The error message shown is "current data and filters produce no result for this value." The icon where the dynamic value should be looks like this:

Notably there are no filters on after the file is shared. When the pbix file is published to powerbi online, the values show up, but as soon as the file is downloaded they no longer work. This is what the value looks like on powerbi online, and on the original computer with the desktop. You can also see the simple value calculation.

My colleague has updated powerbi to the latest version. What could be the issue?

• Is there any filter applied to the visualizations or the dataset itself?
• Besides these dynamic values, your colleague can view the data in other visuals normally?
