Greetings dears,
I'm trying to import a table from D365 FO Cloud Development Environment that has around 3 million rows.
Querying this table in SQL Server takes around 50 seconds, while importing this table in Power BI is REALLY slow.
The table is 200+ MB in size and It took 2 minutes to download 4 MB which is really slow compared to the network speed I'm connected to.
I tried multiple different networks but all the same.
Is this because of the D365 cloud development environment capabilities?
Or this is a normal behavior for the Power BI?
Hi @I_NeedMorePower .
I have not personally worked with Dynamics but these are some general rules I know:
1. More transformations steps in Power Query = More time to import.
2. Different datasources has different speed of import.
3. Server, where your data is stored can be bottleneck.
I would do following:
1. Check if you really have lot of transofrmations in PQ.
2. Try to query the data somewhere outside of PBI. Like SSMS.
3. Check if your company has VPN, which might slower you down.
In case you find something, let me know.
