Hello,
Previously the old Matrix table visual works best for my report. Then on June 2017 the updates included the New Matrix Table preview which helps to bring a new approach on the table. It shows a drill down option for the table. Therefore your have variation of Matrix Tables. That was great as we have more options to show the data. However, on July 2017 updates, the Old Matrix Table was no longer available, and remains the June Matrix Table preview. I oftenly use the Old Matrix Table as it shows at the very first glance the Sub Categories without the need of drill down option.
My question is, where is the old Matrix Table visual? Or is there a way where I can show a Table with Sub Category without clicking the a drill down?
Your response would be highly appreciated.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi,
I'm having the same problem where I need to see the subcategories but my format menu doesn't have a Row Headers option:
I can only see:
Edit Interactions | Bring forward | Send backward | Align | Distribute.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi @skkelly,

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi MFelix,
Thanks for your reply! I saw on one of the previous replies that the drill down button was highlighted. Should I be able to right click on the visual to get formatting options (I can't right click on it).
sk
The format options that I refer are on the right side of the PBI

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHello @MFelix,
What is the solution for Power BI online ?
I cannot see that option under Row Headers in the Online Version.
Thanks
Hi @Wilsonf,
It's on the same option Row HEader, however first of all you need to select the matrix visual again, if you choose your matrix you will see no visual is selected on the right side of the screen, selected and then go to options.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi MFelix;
thanks for the workaround.
However, if I add a new level of hierarchy allowing user to drill down; coming back to first configuration is painful...any idea?
