Where are the credentials for the Power BI file data source in FAIAD?

We are trying to refer to the FAIAD lecture notes for training, but we found that we cannot find the data source credentials for the Power BI sample file;
Does anyone know where the 'Found in Environment tab' is mentioned in the lecture notes?
thank!

Hi @burakkaragoz

It is indeed written like this on the Lab, but I have tried and the credentials are incorrect.

After confirming with the official email, relevant credentials need to be applied to Microsoft three days before the formal training. Microsoft will open a temporary account for 72 hours for users to use.
We are trying to follow the relevant procedures.

Hi @JiaqiZhang0917 ,

Yeah that part in the training doc can be a bit confusing at first. When it says "Found in Environment tab", it’s not referring to something inside Power BI Desktop itself.

Here’s what it actually means:

  • The Environment tab is usually part of the training portal or LMS (Learning Management System) where the FAIAID materials are hosted.
  • You’ll typically find a section or tab labeled “Environment” or “Lab Environment” on the course page. That’s where they list the credentials like email/username and password for the Dataverse connection.
  • If you’re using a zipped training package, sometimes there’s a separate PDF or README file with those details too.

Once you have those credentials, go to File > Options and settings > Data source settings, select the Dataverse source, and click Edit Permissions to enter them.

Let me know if you still can’t find the tab, I can help you locate it depending on where you're accessing the training from.

Hi burakkaragoz,

Thank you for your reply!

I understand what you mean, but I still haven't found the corresponding credentials.

I am in: Power BI Instructor Led Training | Microsoft Power BI

The Lab obtained under this path: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2273205&clcid=0x409&culture=en-us&country=us

Among them, there is evidence of Snowflake in P3 of the Instructor Guide;

But we couldn't find the other three credentials for Report FAIAD.

If possible, could you please help me check? Thank you very much!

Hi @JiaqiZhang0917

Based on the your screenshot you can use the same credentials for the remaining 3 connectors which is already specified in the document as you  shown the USERNAME & PASSWORD.
