When i search for certain field name , it take 20 second to appear

Hi All

when i try to search for some field name , after i enter SALES_ , i need to wait for 20 sec. may i know it there any way to shorten it ?

Hi @admin11 ,

 

The search feature in the FIELDS pane depends on following:

  • Number of tables in your Power BI model - Less number of tables, search will be quicker, More number of tables, search will be slower.
  • Number of columns in your tables - Less number of columns in the tables, search will be faster and vice-versa.

20 seconds sounds ok to me. The search also depends on the keyword you are searching for - like you are searching for SALES_ which may have many fields starting with this same keyword, etc.

@admin11 , Close all power bi instance and check system memory usgaes. System should have sufficient memory to run power bi
