What to Do If my QuickBooks Multi User Mode Not Working After Update?

While working on my QuickBooks payroll, I continuously get a error message that your QuickBooks Multi User Mode Not Working After Update. Since I am beginner to QuickBooks, I don’t know how to troubleshoot this issue. Please help me to eliminate this ASAP!

Updating QuickBooks is necessary to ensure we are using the latest features and security patches. However, downloaded updates sometimes trigger common issues, such as QuickBooks Multi-User Not Working After the Update. This issue mainly occurs when the multi-user mode is turned off automatically after downloading the updates. So, you need to verify the hosting mode to fix the issues. To do so, go through the steps provided below:

 

  1. In QuickBooks, go to the File menu and then select Utilities from the dropdown.
  2. From the options displayed on your screen, select Switch to Multi-user Mode.

Once done, try again to access the company file on the network. If the issue persists, you can review the article linked above for more details.
