Currently I use jpgs and looks good in Power BI desktop but when I publish to Power BI Service the images look fuzzy. Which file type should I use, and how do I fix the jpg from resizing and looking fuzzy in browsers?

I looked into SVG files, but that requires the HTML view control that is no longer in Power BI. Also there lots of examples on the web and youtube that show SVG images in tables but I just want a company logo in the top right that always looks clear. I tried the table but that is just a bad workaround.

Yes, so, the easiest method I've found is to use PowerPoint.

Setup a slide with the image(s) that you want, in the positions you want.

Then follow these steps...

Go to File >> Export

2. Save as different file type.

3. Choose SVG

4. Choose 'Just this one'

Now use this SVG as the background for all of your reports.

I have many setup depending on the style of report, e.g. with title, without, for tooltip pages etc.

I'm surprised SVG is not in the list.

I still think using the page background option for static images is the best option.

There are many other programs you could use to acheive this, any image editing software, Inkscape is one free option.

Hi @MrMike,

I use the same method for my templated reports.

If you set the page background of the report you can use SVGs.

Let me know if you'd like further detail. I use some other methods to create reusable backgrounds.

Are you saying have the entire background one big SVG file?

I clicked on "More Visuals" in Power BI and installed "HTML Content" the image now shows. But the sizing is a pain, can't find a way to remove the scroll bars even when I resize to very small or very big. But I think this is the best option. I wish Power BI had a simple insert SVG like insert jpeg. I will give you credit becuase the other way to use power point did not work for me because SVG is not a save type option in power point on my computer.
