What ever field I put in the X axis defaults to count

Hi all

I have loaded my excel file to Power Bi desktop. Whichever field i drop to the X axis always defaults to count. If i drop a date field or a text field it doesnt matter it defaults to couint of that field. I want to show the date on the X axis.

Please help extremely new to Power Bi. In Excel I can do this as per the pic below

@Nivian stacked bar chart works like that: on Y-axis you put column used for grouping, on X-axis you put column to be aggregated (sum, count, average..).

If you are new to Power BI, just play around with other charts.
If you need to show 2 different dimensions and a measure, on Scatter Plot you can show one dimension on x axis (date), second dimension on y axis (Tender) and then measure in values.
