Sure, here's a revised version:
Hi everyone,
I've published a report without using any ArcGIS visuals. However, every time users open the report, they get a message saying 'Welcome to ArcGIS for Power BI' and have to click 'OK'.
This is quite annoying, and I'd like to remove this message but I'm not sure how. I've already searched online and disabled the 'Use ArcGIS for Power BI' option in the report's settings under Security. I saved the setting, saved and published the report, but the message still appears.
Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!
The issue likely occurs because your report may still have an ArcGIS for Power BI visual embedded somewhere, even if it's not actively being used. Here’s how you can fix it:
Check for ArcGIS visuals: Go through all your report pages and ensure there are no ArcGIS visuals, even hidden or unused ones. Delete them if found.
Disable ArcGIS globally: In Power BI Desktop, go to File > Options and settings > Options > Preview features, and ensure "ArcGIS Maps for Power BI" is unchecked. Then republish the report.
Clear browser cache: If users access the report through a browser, cached data may cause the message to persist. Clear the cache and check again.
If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Power BI support.
Please mark this as solution if it helps. Appreciate Kudos.
Hi Farhan,
Thanks for your reply. I unforetunately already tried all these steps, and the issue is still persistent..
