Weird Matrix Visual behavior
Hi Community Can pls anyone explaine how this can be possible (sum of values do not match totals)? Isn't total supposed to show colulmn sum? Values are a measure (dtype :Whole number) that sourc...
Anonymous - Here's a simpler example of a measure that is not additive:
Only 2018 = IF(SELECTEDVALUE('Date'[Year]) = 2018, [Sales],0)The logic states that if there is only one year involved, and that year is 2018, then we calculate the results. Otherwise, it's 0.In order to suggest another solution, I first need to understand what exactly the requirements are.
Anonymous - The reason for the behavior is that the DAX formula does different things in based on different Filter contexts. Because of the logic built in, it is not additive.
Does it make sense?
Anonymous - I should add - Total is also calculated, according to the DAX formula. It is not the sum of the parts.
