Week hierarchy starting with Monday
Hello to all fellow PBI users,
I am dealing with weeks and days of the week in our reports.
We have 3 problems - week starting with Sunday, week being divided into 2 columns instead of one and order of days is messed up as well.
Here is a snippet of my date table in PBI:
Report screenshots to better understand the issue:
1) Week 18 divided to 2 columns
2) 3) Order of days is messed up

The desired solution is a date hierarchy with weeks starting on Monday - Sunday, having the correct order of days and weeks ideally not splitting into 2.
Thank you for any suggestions,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Can you please share a sample pbix file? (If you don't know how, please check the pinned thread in the forum.) It would make debugging your issue easier. 🙂
Without one, a couple thoughts off the top of my head:
- I'm not sure how you expect to prevent a week from crossing months. That will necessarily happen because the number of days in almost all months is not divisible by 7. However, one thing you can do is put weeks before months in your date hierarchy if week number is more important than month to you.
- If order of days is incorrect, that can likely be fixed by updating the sort order of the order of days column. Try sorting it by your Day Number column. Also, double check the sort options of your visuals.
