We couldn't authenticate with the credential provided. POWER BI AND THE BING MAPS API

In reference to: https://sqldusty.com/2016/04/26/power-bi-and-the-bing-maps-api/

Basically he walks us through how to integrate Bing's API to help find long and lat coordinates for each address.

the issue is he briefly mentions the credentials issue. However, for the life of me I can't stop getting the credentials pop up box

no matter how many times i've clicked "connect" using "anonymous" and "web API" key options. this continues to pop up.

Please help.

Thanks,

Hi  @Anonymous ,

This maybe a permission/authentication error. When your user connect to his data source in an unauthorized account, the corresponding credential would be created.

Verify that the API key you entered in the credentials dialogue box is correct, and that the API key you entered should not contain any extra characters or spaces, try to regenerate it and connect again.

Clear all permissions that have been set in the data source settings, try connecting again, and provide the API key when prompted.
