Waterfall Chart: Conditionally Invert Y-Axis Range?
Hi Anonymous ,
I'm a little confused about your needs, Could you please explain them further? It would be good to provide a screenshot of the results you are expecting and desensitized example data.
Thanks for your efforts & time in advance.

Sure, here is some sample data for a waterfall chart:
| Start Date | Scenario | Division | Revenue Type | Revenue |

I would filter the waterfall chart using the Revenue Type field.
Here is the standard waterfall chart state (both totals are positive):
standard waterfall chart state
Here is what happens if I select "Expenses" as my Revenue Type - both totals become negative, and the totals:
waterfall chart both totals negative
Here is what happens if I go to waterfall chart y-axis settings and "Invert Range" for "Expenses" - the chart looks better:
negative totals and inverted axis
I want my waterfall chart to automatically invert the axes when it sees that both totals are negative. I cannot have a workaround like putting a bookmark over the "Expenses" slicer that takes me to a visual with an inverted axis, because it won't work if I select "Expenses" and "Non-Interest Revenue" together.
Hope this clears up what I'm asking for. Is there any way to have that "Invert Axis" be done conditionally? The waterfall chart is much better when all the totals come up from the bottom x-axis, all the time. I'm not seeing an "fx" button next to the toggle switch, so it must not be a built in functionality - but maybe there is a workaround?
