Waterfall Category Sorting
I have a Waterfall chart that usually reads "Budget" on the left and "Forecast" on the right with the breakdown being different projects that are under / over their budget.
I have 4 columns
1 = "Capital expense " or ="Revenue Expense"
2 = Forecast of budget
3 = PRoject name
4 = £value
I have a slider for Capital or Revenue.
Whenever I select "Capital" on the slider the "Budget" and "Forecast" swap positions - It is driving me crazy!!
I have sorted by the Budget / Forecast column - in powerQuery and Column view - it has no impact.

Current it only support to use category and y-axis column to sort.
You can try to create a column with sort order as its value. Then sort Budget / Forecast column by this new column. For more details, you can refer Sort a Column with a Custom Order in Power BI.

Current it only support to use category and y-axis column to sort.
