I noticed that on a computer that had the latest version of power BI installed, the link http://www.imdb.com/chart/top would not open. I receive an error that states : We have encountered ...

Hi Reubenjac,
I'm using the March 2018 updated 64bit version and everything is working ok on the link.
Did you try File | Options | Data source settings and clearing the permissions as there was in the post you mentioned.
