I have a page of KPIs that are related, but different.. I don't want them to interact when I click on them.
I have clicked on each visual in turn, then turned off interactions with all the other visuals. What a pain.
But, when you go from one visual to the next the last visual will react once and not after that. Strange.
What voodoo may be going on here?

OokeyDokey!
Well, Embaressment time.
The visuals include a chart on which I was clicking on data points. The, "first time interaction" with the previous visual was actually the previous visual resetting itself back to the orginal values after selecting another. This can be avoided by control clicking on the next visual element.
So, apparently intentional behavior.
So, never mind!
Thx for the responses.

Hello @dthompsonKairos ,
By default, visualizations on a report page cross-filter and cross-highlight the other visualizations on the page. For example, selecting a state on a map visualization highlights the column chart and filters the line chart to display only data that applies to that one state.
Change how to visual interact in PBI: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-reports-visual-interactions?tabs=p...
Each visualization have edit interaction. So you can filter it or none it to other items.
Kind Regards,

Yes. I've done that. I selected each visual individual in turn and turned off interaction for all the other visuals.
But when you go from one visual to the next, the last visual interacts (none of the others) with the newly selected one, and it only does it one time. So subsequent clicks on other elements of the second visual do not cause the previous visual to react.
Hi @dthompsonKairos ,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
To troubleshoot bugs in Power BI Desktop, start by restarting the application, as minor glitches can often be resolved this way. If the issue persists, clear the cache by going to File > Options and settings > Options > Data Load > Clear cache, and then restart Power BI.
Ensure you are using the latest version by checking under File > Help > About and downloading any updates from the official Power BI site.
Additionally, If the issue appears to be isolated to a specific report, try creating a new PBIX file. Re-import the same tables and rebuild the report from scratch to determine whether the problem persists. This can help identify whether the bug is related to the original file or a broader issue within your data or environment.

Thank you
Tried everything but rebuilding the report. It's pretty big with lots of moving peices.
It behaves this way in Power Bi service also.
So evidently no one has seen this before? I sure get tired of being, "special". 🙂
