Visuals show leading zeros

This is my problem   I have tried setting my Cost column to Decimals, Currency and even Whole number, but whatever i do, the visuals like bar chart display extra zeros when in my dataset in Q...

    Have you tried changing the Data labels format options for the visualization itself?  I have found these settings override column/measure formatting settings.  Steps:

     

    1. Select your chart.

    2. Access the Format pane by clicking the paint brush icon.

    3. Expand Data labels.

    4. Enter 0 in the Decimal Places box.
