Visuals not updating to slicer

I am having a problem with visuals not updating when I adjust the values in a slicer. The visual will only update to the [Alternate Value] but not the slicer value. Could anyone give me some pointers on how to troubleshoot this problem further?

I have since solved this problem. My issue was expecting a calculated table to update to parameter values. Sorry if I wasn't able to present the problem clearly. I'm converting it to measures and it's mostly working, I still have one other issue that will be in a separate post.

From slicer, do you select one value or multiple values?

Try selecting only one value from slicer and see what it is showing

@themistoklis - I'm using the slider created by a parameter, only selecting a single value and the value I select will show up in a card visual, but it doesn't register in the related measure to affect the value of the measure. The measure is only affected if I change the alternate value that is registered in the parameters measure. If that's not clear, I can send a more detailed example.
