Visuals not showing expected results

Hello,

Having an issue where my dataset used to only have data for previous 3 years rolling.  I've updated the dataset to include an extra years worth of data, however the visualizations are still appearing to prune all data more than 3 years old.  My visualization is a simple bar chart showing MoM comparisons per year.  For January, the 2019 bar has been shrinking as each day passes and we progress through January.

Any ideas why this may be happening?  The formula used for 2019 is:

CALCULATE(DISTINCTCOUNT('<Fact_Table>'[<uniqueid>]), DATEADD(Dim_Dates[Date], - 3,YEAR))

I use the same formula for 2020 data with a 2 year offset and it works perfectly.

I've checked every relationship and filter and the power query editor and can't find anything that would be filtering out the data more than 3 years old.

Any ideas or help on how to utilize the full dataset for my reports would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

Share the download link of your PBI file and clearly show the result that you are expecting for January 2019.

      Hello Ashish,

Unfortunately the data is healthcare related and contains PHI so I can't share the dataset pubicly, is there another way I can get you what you need to review?

The 2019 bar showing results of ~1k should be around 13.5k if that helps any.

      Thank you.
