Visualizing metrics from two tables
Bi noob here (less than a month experience).
The basic goal is for users to select a metric on the left side and either view the information directly (as shown) or manipulate it further with data from the bottom slicer, i.e. acreage of public access naturalized green space PER capita (would use the data behind population).
I hope this makes sense, I am not a coder or STEM inclined by any means.
Thanks,

Hello dejohnson ,
you can have each metric in field parameters and they can switch between them.

Hi dejohnson ,
If you are using two different tables, please do not forget to establish relationships so that the visualizations can correspond to each other. Create and manage relationships in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Or could you please provide example data or sample files here? We could offer you more help if we have information in detail. There is sensitive data that can be removed in advance. How to provide sample data in the Power BI Forum - Microsoft Fabric Community

Preface, I have little to no clue what I am doing but I will give you the gist. I am attempting to create a Performance Measurement & Management Dashboard which can be updated easily and can display information dynamically. The inspiration for the dashboard is the North Carolina Benchmarking Project, found here.
My project would be very similar. My data would be given by various departments to be shown on a dashboard, initial rough design shown:
Departmental Page
From a data standpoint, the values would be inputted into an Excel file, I have prefilled with some test values shown:
Test Data for Parks
Getting these values to chart is not the issue, what I really want to do is to take the raw values, say the top line item, PARK ACREAGE and divide that value by essentially an additional filter shown here:
Census Data
A few things to note: There will be several departments and I would want to take for example a given departmental metric and show not only the raw value, in this case PARK ACREAGE but also do calculations. In a perfect work there would be a second bar graph which would show PARK ACREAGE/POPULATION=bar 1, PARK ACREAGE/NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS=bar2, (essentially anything on the Census sheet).
Is this possible? If so, how would a newbie like myself build this?
