Visual header box issue - recent update?

Hi all,

Has there been a recent update in Power BI that has added this box above all visuals? It is now preventing me from placing a visual at the very top of the screen when i try to drag the visual up. How do i disable this please??

@nunnc01,
Yes, enabling the modern headers will give yo flexibility to enable/disable individual visual header icons as well. This gives enhanced flexibility to developers to show/hide required visual headers.

It is hence recommended to enable the modern visual headers since it provides much more flexibility and tad-bit more space as well.

Hope your queries are cleared !

The option to pick which individual header icons to show for a visual has also disappeared and now only gives me the option to turn them all on or all off. Switching the modern visual header setting on restores these options it seems.

Hi,

I'm using Version: 2.149.1252.0 64-bit (November 2025).

Ticking the option to use modern visual headers does make that box disappear and does then allow me to move the visual to the very top it seems. If i un-tick the modern visual header setting the box re-appears.

@nunnc01 ,
You simply need to check modern visual header checkbox then to remove that unnecessary upper ribbon of visual.

Hi @nunnc01,
Some queries since I'm not able to reproduce the issue.

1. Are you editing in desktop or services?

2. If Desktop, which version are your using?

3. Which visual are you using?

Hi @nunnc01

I do not see that part of the visual, can you show a bigger image and what visual are yo using?

If this helped, please consider giving kudos and mark as a solution
