Helper IIIView / Read Only Mode with Power BI Desktop
Good morning,
I wanted to open a pbix file while my colleague was using it but the software told me it's not possible to read only a file. Do you know if there is a possibility without to use Power BI App please ?

So far, it isn't possible. Power BI Desktop is made for personal use, instead the colaborative mode needs to power BI Service because it has all the sharing and colaborative tools you could need. If you want work at the same time a pbix file, make a copy, I know, sounds simple. As an alternative, consider to use excel with its worksheet security.
