Vertical Gridlines option missing from format visual

I am on PBI Desktop verxion 2.106(June 2022)

The Vertical Gridlines option is missing from Clusterd Coulmn Chart format visual(See screenshot)

Horizontal gridlines is there, but no vertical.

Thanks,

Craig

  • Hello csh8428 ,

In the clustered column chart there's only horizontal gridlines since it displayes the bars in a vertical way, while if you want vertical gridlines you could use the clustered  bar chart, it shows the bars in an horizontal way with the available options to have vertical gridlines.

  • Idrissshatila Thanks for the info. I don't understand why both sets of girdlines aren't available in both charts. My chart is a time-series,(so left to right on the x axis) with multiple dimensions.

  • Hi Idrissshatila ,

I have a line chart with time series, there is also no option for verticle gridlines in the chart too, it is hard to see which month for example having which amount of sale, how to solve this issue?

    Thanks

I had this same issue with my line chart. I realized that when I changed the X-axis Type to Continuous from Categorical, I could see the vertical gridlines.

Your solution does not solve the problem, you are just swapping axes

Where is the option to do change from continuous to categorical? I don't see it anywhere. Thank you.
