Vertica

Hi 

I want to create Power BI reports using data from Vertica. When I am trying to connect database from Vertica, I am getting following error 

 

Details: "ODBC: ERROR [08001] [Vertica][Vertica DS] (160) Connection attempt failed: could not translate host name "" to address: No such host is known.

 

I am using server as "vertica-ca-dev.JcPgroup.local:443" , and it is at Port 443.

After this, I am getting Username and Pwd window. After putting UID and PWD, I am getting above error.

Need Help

    Anonymous  can you connect from somewhere else to see if the connection is actually working?

      Yes, I tried connecting directly to Vertica db from same server and it is connecting. I am not sure whether the the way I mentioned Port (443) in Server box is correct or not. "vertica-ca-dev.JcPgroup.local:443"
