Hello, my organization deploys various power bi datsets to the power bi web which we then build many different reports on. Our datasets are ever expanding and changing and my team is thinking about ways to store different versions of the datasets. Currently we use yellow folders to store both the newest version and older versions but we figure that is an inefficient method. Does the Power BI web have a way to download past published versions of datasets? Or are there other methods for this?
Thanks!

As far as I am aware, there are few ways.
If you pay for Fabric licence, you can use Git, which is probably the the best way. (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwxfxoJYZOE&ab_channel=ERPCoder)
If not (like me), you are probably left out with folders and files e.g. in Onedrive or elswhere. I do it in the way that I have a folder for every customer, for which I run reports. In this folder I have folders named as dates, when some implementation was done e.g. folder "2023-12-18" and to this folder I save the file "Management Report". I don't like to use the date in the name (e.g. Management Report 2023-12-18), because if I want to publish the report, I have to rename it and then revert it again....
This way when I want to go back for some version, I look up Management Report and in which folders it is located. "XYZ Customer" -> "2023-12-18" -> "Management Report.pbix".
If you wanted to save memory, you can also save the file as a template.
I am looking forward to hear about other ways.
