Values wells missing in Power bi charts

Hello,
I am new to Power BI (Desktop). I just started taking online self-paced training. But I am having difficulty getting the same result as the tutor. The visuals pane of my Power BI Desktop has the following field wells: 'X-axis', 'Y-axis', 'Legend', 'Small multiples', 'Tooltips' and 'Drill through'. Meanwhile the tutor's own has the following: 'Axis', 'Legend', 'Values', 'Tooltips' and 'Drill through'.
The tutor used his 'Axis' and 'Values' which I don't have except X-axis, Y-axis.
Please, is there a way to toggle these on/off. that is the 'Values' and just 'Axis'?

I downloaded this Power BI version about 2 weeks ago.

Please see attached for clarity.  Mine is the first while the second is the tutor's.My Screen

Tuto's Screen

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

  • They changed it from axis and values to x axis and y axis. I'm not a fan of the change, but that's what happened. If you are doing a bar chart, then axis == y axis and values == x axis. The opposite for a column chart.
