Values in What If Parameter not updating in Calculated Columns

Hello,

RatioFlag
0.1Less Than Median
4.2Greater Than Median
3.1Less Than Median

I have the calculated column "Ratio" in my data, I want to take a "Median" value which will be entered by the user as a parameter, for example 3.5, and then create the "Flag" calculated column accordingly. I have also read somewhere that calculated columns do not get updated dynamically and hence do not use the latest parameter value. Even when I refreshed the data, the calculated columns were not picking up the manually selected parameter value and were using the default parameter value. What could be the workaround for this?

Thanks
