Value field gone

Hi,

maybe a really stupid question, but since the last update (July 2022) my value fields are all gone in visuals. What is this?

If I drag and drop a simple bar chart into the pane, I got every option to fill it (x-axis, y-axis..etc) but no more the option of a value field.

What am i missing?

Thx!

BR

David

Hi there.

Is the one you are looking for under Visual > Data Labels > Values?

Hey @daveinitiv ,

That's the new look and feel of Power BI. Instead of Axis and Value, they have provided X-axis and Y-axis to plot the values.

If you are looking for the old visualisation pane, you can bring it back by:

File > Options and settings > Options > Preview Features > Uncheck the New format pane.
and then Restart the Power BI Desktop

this will give you the values field back.

but it is better to get used to the new update

@PC2790 Thanks a lot, this in combination with fault by myself not formatting numeric variables correctly led to a complete confusion on my part.
