Hello,
I have the following message when I want to connect to SAP HANA database in DirectQuery since we upgraded Power BI Desktop.
The last version without error message is 2.131.1203 (July 2024)
But if we upgrade to : 2.136.1202 (September 2024) or 2.137.751 (October 2024) or 2.137.952 (October 2024) the error is coming.
The error appears once we select a SAP HANA calculation view and we click on the load button.
If we put back the 2.131.1203 (july 2024) version, no error message anymore.
We tried to upgrade and to uninstall/install completely.
Each time with computer restart, clear cache, etc.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

Hi @Apostolakis ,
We have seen on the internal platform that other engineers have reported this issue and submitted it.
The engineers on the product team are now aware and will do their best to resolve the issue. This is currently an issue that will be fixed in November, and I'll update here with the latest news.
Best regards.

I have the same problem. Neither for SAP HANA nor for SAP Business Warehouse can I create a connection via Direct Query with the latest versions.
It works with the version from July.

Hi,
we are in December now and we still see the issue, can you please confirm if it's fixed then in which release.
Hi @DeepakPanguluri ,
I checked the info and it only mentions that it was not fixed early in the November version, so maybe you could try the August version to try it.
Best regards,

Hi @Apostolakis - you mentioned trying this already, ensure that all temporary files and related configuration files have been thoroughly cleared. Sometimes, Power BI Desktop might retain outdated configurations that could be causing the issue.
This could be a bug introduced in the newer versions of Power BI. Reporting it via the "Report this issue" button (as seen in your screenshot) or through Microsoft's support channels may help expedite a fix in future releases.
that your SAP HANA drivers and Power BI Desktop are fully compatible with the newer versions. Sometimes, issues like these arise due to outdated or incompatible drivers.
Since the issue is not present in the July 2024 version, you might want to stick to this version for now, and below is the power bi desktop application link FYR. especially if SAP HANA integration is critical to your operations. It may also be worth checking the release notes of newer updates to see if the bug is addressed in later versions.
