Using two lookup tables connected with the same fact table
Hi.
I have two lookup tables:
USER LOOKUP
| user_id |
| 1 |
| 2 |
| 3 |
DATE LOOKUP
| date |
| 1/1/2018 |
| 2/1/2018 |
| 3/1/2018 |
..connected to a fact table (1-to-many cardinality for both);
PROFILE FACT
| user_id | date | other |
| 1 | 1/1/2018 | A |
| 2 | 2/1/2018 | B |
| 3 | 3/1/2018 | C |
I'm using a date silcer synced across several pages. When I use the user_id (count of users) from the user lookup table and change the date range, the user count does not update. Obviously this is because the lookup table aren't connected but is there a workaround for that without using USERELASTIONSHIP? Do I have to use the user_id from the profile fact table in all my calculations? But since the user lookup is connected with other fact tables with a user_id, that would defeat the point of a user lookup table, right?

In my opinion,you'd better use user_id from the profile fact table in all your calculations since it's the one-side in the relationship.And since it has a connection with user lookup table,I believe it wont defeat the point of the table.

Anonymous , I think you want two filters two disconnected slicers. For that take a measure from fact, and check : it is not blank in the visual level filter of the slicer
