Using only measures (no Custom column) to make a fallback Column chart.

As mentioned I've been tasked make a Column chart while using only measures(been asked to avoid using Custom/ Cal Columns).
The chart includes-
X axis: ABC (date column) this needs to be measure.
Y axis: Count of SALES ID.

The logic for the calculation for ABC is- if A<> null then A elseif B<>null then B elseif C<> null then C else NULL.
There are 3 coloumns( A,B,C all date columns).

The X axis To include a month-to-day drill-down capability.

I'm familiar with how to do this using calculated columns but having great difficulty navagating measures.
Would greatly appreciate some help. And Dax codes would be greatly appreciated.

Measures cannot be grouped in X axis.

In X axis (or in rows / columns of a matrix) you can only group columns.

No, @FBergamaschi's answer covers it.

Measures can't be used in that way. A calculated column (as far upstream as possible) is the correct way.

Is there anything else how possible to approach such a problem ? or it's a deadend
