Is it possible to use eastings and northings to plot locations in Power BI?
We currently use systems that only produce information in this format, yet it seems Power BI only accepts latitude and longitude.
As our data warehouse connects directly to power bi there seems to be little/no option to convert these on the fly making mapping of any information held in the system impossible?
@amitchandak That's not what @Rob_Morris is asking.
He is asking is Power BI can plot Eastings and Northings.
We have a system that produces reports and plots the locations of these using Eastings and Northings.
This is stored in an Oracle database.
The Oracle database connects to Power BI via a direct query, so power BI is pulling the information directly out of the system meaning we are unable to convert the fields before they go into Power BI.
We are unable to use the maps in Power BI as it insists on having everything in Latitude and Longitude.
Is there any way we can use Easting and Northings for the maps in Power BI, instead of Latitude and Longitude? Or is there any way we can convert Easting and Northings to Latitude / Longitude on the fly within Power BI?
@Rob_Morris , not very clear, but you can use latitude and longitude in power bi map
