Using a table or maxtrix with a linking table relationship

I have used a linking table to perform a many to many join as shown in the following screenshot

Basically I am using the order number to link orders to another subject area and this works for when I apply slicers to the visualisations.

 

However, for use in a  table/matrix visualisation when I try and pull fields from both fact tables, I get the following error:

From what I can tell - Power BI tables and maxtrix is only smart enough to detect neighboring relationships. 

 

Any help or advice on this would be very helpful.

@jay007,

 

I have tested it on my local, when only add key column from two table, I get the same result as yours. However, if I add another measue column to visual, eveything works fine.
