Using a stacked bar chart as a thermometer

Hello,

I would like to show total gross margin by region, so I am using a stacked bar chart, but would like to show how far they are from the goal gross margin (similar to a thermometer).  So using a Stacked bar chart I've put Gross Margin on the Y axis, Region on the Legend, then a max value on the Y-axis  of the goal of $12,550,000.  It almost works, as you see below, I would like some kind of color/bar from eeh top of the last region up to the mark of $12M to show how much farther they have to go.  Any suggestions or better ideas?  ( I added a circle shape to the bottom to look like a thermometer).  I did try the thermometer tool by MAQ but don't see how I can stack it by region?

Hi @aashton

You can create a new table by unioning a new row and original table. In the new row, it calculates the difference between the total and the goal value.

Then use this new table to populate the visual. The new Gap will also display as a Region, so it may be a little confusing if a reader doesn't know its meaning.
