Using Power BI Service as a datasource and trying to publish to a differnt workspace

Created a report in desktop using the connection to the datasource in Power BI service. I built my report, now it only lets me publish it back to that same workspace (actually an app).

I need to connect/make accessible this report to another workspace.

How can I do this?

Hi @electrobrit,

It's a limiation when get data resource from Power BI service. We can't publish the report to another worksplace. Please see the Limitations and considerations in this official article.

When you create a report based on dataset using a live connection to the Power BI service, you can only publish that report to the same Power BI service workspace that contains the dataset being used.
